Softball Recap: Tara's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Port Allen, Tara was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Glen Oaks Panthers with a sharp 18-3 victory. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 15 runs or more this season.

Tylynn Fleming was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Heaven Beauchamp was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Tara always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .913. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Tara's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tara will face off against Liberty Magnet at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Glen Oaks, they will venture away from home to face off against Dunham at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
