After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cross County, The Shelby-Rising City Huskies were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Elmwood-Murdock 58-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Shelby-Rising City, who have now won seven matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.
Gabe Dutton-mofford was a one-man wrecking crew for Shelby-Rising City as he rushed for 201 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry. Ethan Fjell was another key contributor, rushing for 79 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
Shelby-Rising City's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.4 points per game. As for Elmwood-Murdock, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.
Shelby-Rising City will head out on the road to face off against Exeter-Milligan/Friend at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Exeter-Milligan/Friend will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. Elmwood-Murdock does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
