Basketball Recap: Christian Collegiate Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Gabe Collier and Tahj Hill

After a string of four wins, Christian Collegiate Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 67-60 to the Woodlawn Prep Wolfpack. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-47 back in November of 2024.

Christian Collegiate Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Tahj Hill, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals, and Gabe Collier, who went 9 of 18 en route to 21 points and four steals. That's the most steals Hill has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Xavier Quinn, who posted seven points.

Cole Sinclair was his usual excellent self, going 10 for 16 on his way to 22 points along with seven assists and six boards for Woodlawn Prep. The match was Sinclair's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Drayson Patterson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.

Christian Collegiate Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-12. As for Woodlawn Prep, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 23-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Collegiate Academy will take on Ben's Ford Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Woodlawn Prep, they will face off against Wilkinson County Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
