The Hillcrest Knights had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They blew past Idaho Falls 90-40 on the road. Given Hillcrest's advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while Idaho Falls is ranked 133rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bradley Elison and Makai Ferguson certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Elison scored 17 points, while Ferguson scored 11 points.
Hillcrest's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.2 points per game. As for Idaho Falls, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Hillcrest will be playing in front of their home fans against Shelley at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Idaho Falls, they will head out on the road to square off against Bonneville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
