The Central Bulldogs pushed their score all the way to 35 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were outmatched by Forsyth at home and fell 65-35. Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Forsyth apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Rolly Fisher continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Forsyth, rushing for 133 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Braxton Gross, who rushed for 122 yards on only 12 carries.
This is the second loss in a row for Central and nudges their season record down to 2-7. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.5 points per game. As for Forsyth, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-2.
Central will challenge Willard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Willard presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Central in Missouri (Willard is ranked 70th, while Central is ranked 248th). As for Forsyth, they will be playing at home against Willow Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Willow Springs comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
