The Van-Far Indians scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Silex 85-44 at home. The victory was nothing new for Van-Far as they're now sitting on four straight.
Van-Far's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gage Gibson, who went 8 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 4 assists. That's the first time this season that Gibson scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nikos Connaway, who scored 11 points along with nine assists and five steals.
Van-Far pushed their record up to 6-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Silex, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Van-Far will square off against Harrisburg at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Harrisburg is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Silex, they will head out on the road to face off against Winfield at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
