The Beach Bulldogs lost against the Calvary Day Cavaliers last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Beach was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 50-49 to the Cavaliers.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chandler Reid, who scored 15 points. Reid is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Jayden Newton was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with two steals.
Beach has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Calvary Day, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-12 record this season.
Beach will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Liberty County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bulldogs in Georgia (the Panthers are ranked 139th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 309th). As for Calvary Day, they will square off against the Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Groves has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 697 points over their last ten contests.
