Autauga Academy fell 59-46 to Edgewood Academy. Autauga Academy has struggled against Edgewood Academy recently, as their contest on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Autauga Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Teonna Davis, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Davis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Chloe Davis, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Lindsey Brown continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Edgewood Academy, scoring 41 points along with eight steals and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. Avery White was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Autauga Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Edgewood Academy, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 25-3.
Autauga Academy will be playing at home against Abbeville Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Abbeville Christian Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. Edgewood Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
