On Thursday, Sunshine Bible Academy took a serious blow against Iroquois/Lake Preston, falling 56-28. Sunshine Bible Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-15.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Abby Hinman, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Betra Amare was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Ipswich, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-42 loss to Wilmot on Thursday.
Sunshine Bible Academy dropped their record down to 3-12 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Ipswich, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season.
Sunshine Bible Academy lost to Ipswich on the road by a decisive 43-29 margin in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Sunshine Bible Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
