Despite the loss, Solorio saw an underclassman step up: Melanie Macedo scored 14 points. Macedo scored a full 66.7% of Solorio's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Graciela Mandujano, who scored 6 points.
Corliss' win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Solorio, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Corliss will take on Hirsch at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
