They had to suffer through a rough 66-26 loss at the hands of South Guilford HomeSchool. Asheboro Hybrid Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-11.
Leading South Guilford HomeSchool to victory were Kassidy Bullins and Kourtney Bullins. Bullins dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds, while Bullins scored 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Bullins is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sadie Harrell, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Asheboro Hybrid Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-5.
Asheboro Hybrid Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Vandalia Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Guilford HomeSchool won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Greater Cabarrus S at 6:15 p.m. on January 16th. Greater Cabarrus S will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 459th, while South Guilford HomeSchool is ranked 153rd).
