The John Carroll Patriots will face off against the Fallston Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. John Carroll knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Fallston likes a good challenge.
Last Tuesday, John Carroll made easy work of Noble & Greenough and carried off an 18-1 win. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Pierce Quinn tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Joey Coudon and Casey Carpenter did most of the damage at the plate: Coudon fired off two home runs, four runs, and three RBI while going 4-for-5, while Carpenter went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Carpenter also put up a triple, which was his first of the season. Brycen Altland was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Fallston fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Bohemia Manor on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Reese Conley and Tyler Conrad did some serious damage despite the final result: Conley went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one double, while Conrad went 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Those three hits gave Conley a new career-high.
John Carroll's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Fallston, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
John Carroll skirted past Fallston 7-6 when the teams last played back in April of 2015. Does John Carroll have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fallston turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
