The Sonora Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell to Beyer 58-52. Sonora lost against Beyer in their previous head to head back in December of 2014, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 80-41 score last time.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jonathan Curran, who scored 15 points along with 5 assists. Roger Edwards was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 5 steals.
Sonora's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Beyer, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Burbank the next time they take the court. Sonora will head out to face Burbank at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Beyer will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
