Franklin is 0-10 against Edison since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Franklin Yellowjackets will head out on the road to take on the Edison Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Franklin is hoping to put an end to a 15-game streak of away losses.
Franklin suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They were beaten by Weston Ranch 113-21. While losing is never fun, Franklin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1248th, while Weston Ranch is ranked 79th).
Meanwhile, Edison waltzed into their match on Wednesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They skirted past Bear Creek 44-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Edison has posted yet this season.
Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Edison, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.
Franklin was taken down by Edison 80-35 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Franklin, Leon Mills jr.
