The East Moline Christian Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Morning Star Academy Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as East Moline Christian comes in on three and Morning Star Academy on 12.
East Moline Christian is headed into the contest having just posted their closest win since October 3, 2024 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Logos Christian Academy 2-1.

Aly Millard and Annie Willcox were among the main playmakers for East Moline Christian as the former had seven kills, four aces, and one block and the latter had six aces and one block. Those six aces gave Willcox a new career-high.
They weren't the only good server: East Moline Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Morning Star Academy had just enough and edged out Unity Christian 3-2 on Monday.
Morning Star Academy took Unity Christian into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-13, 25-18, 20-25, 15-11.
East Moline Christian better focus on containing Eden Kobernat and Morgan Tipsword as the pair were huge in Morning Star Academy's win. Kobernat had 14 digs and two aces, while Tipsword had ten digs and three aces. Maddie Bohonek also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.
The win got East Moline Christian back to even at 5-5. As for Morning Star Academy, their record is now 12-0.
East Moline Christian might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Morning Star Academy in their previous matchup last Friday.
