The Christian Academy of Louisiana Crusaders lost against the Brighton Bengals back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Christian Academy of Louisiana fell 48-38 to Brighton.
Brighton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Davis Wolfe led the charge by scoring 18 points. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for Wolfe. The team also got some help courtesy of Damon Scott, who scored nine points along with 14 rebounds and three steals.
Christian Academy of Louisiana's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-3. As for Brighton, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Academy of Louisiana will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Open Door Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 16, 2024. Brighton will be home for the holidays to greet First Baptist Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. First Baptist Christian and Brighton are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
