Perrysburg is on a six-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Findlay is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Yellow Jackets will welcome the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If Perrysburg beats Findlay with 48 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Yellow Jackets beat Northview on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 48-6. With the Yellow Jackets ahead 41-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Perrysburg's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Maxwell, who threw for 190 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Luke Kopchian was another key back, rushing for 127 yards and one score.
Perrysburg was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 226 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 150 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Perrysburg didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Blake Kertsen, Landen Wallace, and Darnell Gray II picked up one apiece. Kertsen is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as he's now defended at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
Meanwhile, Findlay never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed past Clay to the tune of 35-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Trojans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Eagles are ranked 294th).
Findlay's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Perrysburg, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-1.
Everything went Perrysburg's way against Findlay when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Perrysburg made off with a 37-14 win. In that game, the Yellow Jackets amassed a halftime lead of 29-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
