Basketball Recap: Tri-City Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against El Dorado

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tri-City Christian Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the El Dorado Wolverines 67-35. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-17.

Tri-City Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trisdan Moreland, who made all 6 shots he took to post 12 points. Moreland is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Jaziel Burgess was another key player, shooting 56% from the field to rack up 12 points and eight boards.

Tri-City Christian Academy pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points over those games. As for El Dorado, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Tri-City Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against BASIS - Ahwatukee at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for El Dorado, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Canyon State Academy at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
