It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the East Hardy Cougars can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 48-15 loss at the hands of the Yellowjackets. East Hardy has not had much luck with Williamstown recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Although East Hardy took the loss, they still got scores from Levi Price and Brayden Gregory.
Williamstown was led to victory by Maxwell Molessa and Louis Goodnow. Molessa rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns, while Goodnow gained 170 total yards and three touchdowns.
East Hardy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Williamstown, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
East Hardy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Williamstown will head out on the road to face off against Tucker County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Tucker County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
