The Boonville Pioneers lost against the Heritage Hills Patriots back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Boonville's2023 ended with a 66-49 defeat against Heritage Hills. While losing is never fun, Boonville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Heritage Hills is ranked 25th).
Trent Sisley was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 16 rebounds for Heritage Hills. The matchup was Sisley's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Hunter Meredith was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with four steals.
Boonville has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Heritage Hills, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Boonville is on the road again on Saturday and play against Perry Central on December 30, 2023. Heritage Hills won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Corydon Central at 7:15 p.m. on December 30, 2023.
