Van was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They were the clear victors by a 49-26 margin over the Spring Hill Panthers. Given the Vandals' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Panthers are ranked 643rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Van and bumps their season record up to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for Spring Hill, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Van will square off against rival Gilmer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Spring Hill is set to challenge their familiar foe Pleasant Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
