It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Ravenscroft Ravens can now relate to. They were dealt a 55-6 loss at the hands of Rabun Gap-Nacoochee on Friday. The low total for Ravenscroft limited their streak of high-flying scores to three in a row.
Elijah Deifer threw for 101 yards while completing 85.7% of his passes. Donnie Williams was his top target, picking up 51 receiving yards. On the ground, Andrew Abbott rushed for 33 yards.
Rabun Gap-Nacoochee was led to victory by Gavin Owens and Tyrell Campbell. Owens threw for 130 yards and three touchdowns while completing 91.7% of his passes, while Campbell rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns. Antoine Deslauriers got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Ravenscroft's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.
Ravenscroft does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee will be playing at home against Christ School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
