Kongiganak took a 58-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chief Paul Memorial. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kongiganak in their matchups with Chief Paul Memorial: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the loss, Kongiganak still got an impressive performance from Jarrett Brown, who scored 25 points. The contest was Brown's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Keon Fancyboy, who scored seven points.
Kongiganak now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Chief Paul Memorial, they pushed their record up to 1-0 with that victory, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season.
Kongiganak will head out on the road to face off against Kwigillingok at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Chief Paul Memorial will be home for the holidays to greet Nelson Island at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Nelson Island will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
