The Wildcats never let Cherokee get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 13 games by seven runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Autumn Willis, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Phil Campbell got the win against Cherokee on Tuesday by a conclusive 8-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bobcats have posted against the Indians since March 17, 2016.
Addi James spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits.
On the hitting side, Siddalee Rogers was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Mia Ambrosio, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Colbert Heights pushed their record up to 24-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Phil Campbell, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-14.
