J.Z. George will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Water Valley at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against J.Z. George, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
It was all tied up at halftime, but J.Z. George wasn't quite Noxapater's equal in the second half when they met last Friday. J.Z. George took a 18-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Noxapater.
Meanwhile, Water Valley was the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They were fully in charge last week, breezing past Coffeeville 49-6. The margin was wide but not a surprise since Water Valley are ranked far ahead of Coffeeville in the MaxPreps rankings.
Water Valley's win lifted them to 2-0 while J.Z. George's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Water Valley can add another positive mark to their record or if J.Z. George can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Water Valley's step.
