The Palo Verde Titans posted their biggest win since November 28, 2023 on Monday. They blew past Santa Rita 66-22 on the road. Given Palo Verde's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while Santa Rita is ranked 328th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Adrain Powers was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 19 points along with five rebounds and four blocks. Kameron Pippen was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Palo Verde's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Santa Rita, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palo Verde won't have much time to rest: their next match is against San Miguel at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Santa Rita, they will head out on the road to challenge Tombstone at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
