The Baldwin Indians will venture away from home to face off against the Fernandina Beach Pirates at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Baldwin will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Baldwin is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Wolfson 12-2 on Friday.
Brian Malice looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February of 2025.

At the plate, Turner Farah and Maxwell Gallagher did most of the damage at the plate: Farah went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Gallagher went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave Gallagher a new career-high. Landon Sheppard also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Baldwin hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, while Fernandina Beach put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Oakleaf. The Pirates walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Knights. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won four in a row.
The team relied heavily on Landen Holbrook, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Trace Farmer was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Baldwin now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Fernandina Beach, their record is now 11-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Baldwin has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Fernandina Beach struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
