If the Canyon Comanches were feeling good off their 84-50 takedown of the El Modena Vanguards last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Canyon took a 69-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Canyon's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Goodall, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremy Loreto, who scored 17 points.
Canyon's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-7. As for Foothill, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-8.
Canyon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Foothill also has no future games currently scheduled.
