Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Hampton County Hurricanes walked away with it. They beat Bishop England on Friday by the very same score they won with last week: 33-7. Hampton County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won eight games by 23 points or more this season.
Zion Dobson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 89 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, while also picking up 36 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Chris Terry, who threw for 157 yards and two touchdowns.
The victory was the fifth in a row for Hampton County, bringing their record for this year to 10-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.8 points per game. As for Bishop England, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
Hampton County will look to defend their home field on Friday against Andrews at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Andrews' favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last six matchups. Bishop England does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
