The Colby Eagles lost against the Scott Beavers back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Colby was dealt a 50-6 loss at the hands of Scott. Casen Carroll threw for 81 yards on five of 20 attempts. Kasey Giesenhagen was his top target, picking up 63 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Zane Betz rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown.
Colby's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Scott, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Colby is on the road again on Friday and play against Cheney at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. One thing working in Cheney's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season. As for Scott, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Smoky Valley at 7:00 a.m. Smoky Valley will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
