After a string of three wins, Hoover's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the Morse Tigers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 2nd.
Hoover took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15, 25-23.
Morse's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hailee Divina, who had four digs, two aces, and one block. Divina is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Hailie Bautista was another key player, getting seven digs and two aces.
Hoover's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Morse, they pushed their record up to 18-16 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
