On Friday Riverside Christian Academy take on The Webb School at 7:00 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Riverside Christian Academy faced Lancaster Christian Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Riverside Christian Academy found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 20-52 punch to the gut against Lancaster Christian Academy last Friday.
Meanwhile, after soaring high against Franklin Classical School two weeks ago, Icarus fell to the ground. The Webb School suffered a grim 13-40 defeat to Middle Tennessee Christian. The result was completely at odds with the teams' state rankings as The Webb School enjoys a hefty 125 spot advantage.
Given their recent losses, both teams have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend. If The Webb School want to win, The Webb School will need to focus on stopping Riverside Christian Academy's freshman Micheal Black, who caught passes for 103 yards and 2 touchdowns, and freshman Jake Rubelsky, who passed for 169 yards and 2 touchdowns. We'll see whether or not they are up to the challenge.
