Veterans' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chandler Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. The contest was Thomas' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Antonio "Tone" Scott, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Veterans' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Spalding, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.
Veterans will be playing in front of their home fans against Swainsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spalding, they will head out on the road to face off against Westside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
