The Fairfield Knights will head out to square off against the Biglerville Canners at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Fairfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Fairfield came out on top against York County Tech on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Knights walked away with a 7-3 win over the Spartans. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Haden Hicks and Riley Brown made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Hicks pitched six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Meanwhile, Brown tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off two hits. At the plate, Hicks went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Brown got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Brown has become a key player for Fairfield: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-3 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jacob Liller, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to hits, as he's now got three or more in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Layton Wilhide, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Biglerville). Everything went their way against Annville-Cleona on Thursday as they made off with a 13-3 win. Considering the Canners have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Aiden Hoffman and Cooper Karalus did most of the damage at the plate: Hoffman went 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Karalus got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Karalus has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Parker Black, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Biglerville now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Fairfield, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Biglerville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Fairfield has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .472. It's a different story for Biglerville, though, as they've only averaged .357. Will they be able to contain Fairfield's hitters?
Fairfield might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Biglerville when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
