Price Made His Presence Known in Ponder's 36-26 Win
Starting off the list is Ponder's Tyson Price, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Price threw for 204 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes, and also rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
For the season, Price has thrown 22 touchdowns while averaging 271.1 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 18 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 80.86 rushing yards.

Vernon has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Schoppa and Vernon will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bowie at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Johnny Arellano Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Ponder was led to victory by Johnny Arellano, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Arellano rushed for 178 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (109.3) per game. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 55 yards.
On the season, Arellano has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 109.3 rushing yards per game.

A Season-Best Performance from Hunter Etter Leads Boyd over Vernon
Boyd came up short on Friday despite Hunter Etter delivering his best game to date. Etter picked up 158 receiving yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 97 yards.
Boyd is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. Etter and Boyd will face off against Bowie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
