Edmonds-Woodway hasn't had much luck against Meadowdale recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Mavericks at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Meadowdale will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Edmonds-Woodway extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Warriors put the hurt on Shorecrest with a sharp 18-7 victory.

Noa Gillespie
04/18/25 @ Shorecrest | 5 |
03/26/25 @ Lynnwood | 3 |
04/16/25 vs Archbishop Murphy | 2 |
03/28/25 @ Everett | 2 |

The team relied heavily on Noa Gillespie, who went 4-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Neva Cheeney, who went 2-for-5 with five RBI, one run, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Edmonds-Woodway kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Meadowdale). They blew past Lynnwood 22-5 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Payton Aldridge made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Ella Bogren was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI and two runs. Madison Mitchell was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three RBI and two runs.
Edmonds-Woodway's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Meadowdale, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Edmonds-Woodway's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's match. The Warriors have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Meadowdale, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Edmonds-Woodway continue to outrun the ball?
Edmonds-Woodway might still be hurting after the 8-1 loss they got from Meadowdale in their previous matchup on April 2nd. Will the Warriors have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
