Kenton is 1-6 against Bluffton since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Kenton Wildcats will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Bluffton Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Tuesday, Kenton was the victim of a rough 70-49 defeat at the hands of Liberty-Benton. Kenton has struggled against Liberty-Benton recently, as their game on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Bluffton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 37-33 to Van Buren. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bluffton has scored all season.
Kenton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Bluffton, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Kenton came up short against Bluffton in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 49-40. Can Kenton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
