In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 63-62 victory over the West Elk Patriots. The win was nothing new for the Lancers as they're now sitting on four straight.
Despite the loss, West Elk still got an impressive performance from Maddex Moreno, who went 12-for-19 to rack up 32 points in addition to five boards and five steals. Moreno has become a key player for West Elk: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least 25 points, but 9-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Garett Usry, who posted 16 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Southeast's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games. As for West Elk, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.
