The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cedar Grove in their matchups with Sandy Creek: they've now lost nine in a row.
Several Saints players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nathaniel Loyd, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Scott, who scored 12 points.
Cedar Grove's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6. As for Sandy Creek, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-2.
Cedar Grove will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Creekside Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. As for Sandy Creek, they will square off against Osborne at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
