They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Hanover Central Wildcats on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Fighting Irish sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Sidney Feczko spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Anna Moore was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Curstyn Hansbrough was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
