Marcus McMaryion and Lorenzo Fraga provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Porterville. The connection went for 76 yards, the longest such play in Central Sequoia this season.
Kingsburg extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Kerman, 28-10. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Vikings.
Dinuba's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. McMaryion threw for 365 and one touchdown and Aaron Taylor had 159 yards receiving. On the ground Michael Wright chipped in 128 yards. Fraga helped Dinuba's passing attack out by catching two balls for 87 yards.
The Emperors' McMaryion and Taylor have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. McMaryion has thrown for 1402 yards this season, while Taylor, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 28 catches for 514 yards. Exeter's Austin Cardoza leads the league in rushing yards with 502.
Selma moved up to 653 from 737 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Central Sequoia.
