The biggest upset of the week belonged to Lone Peak, who took down fifth ranked Bingham, 21-17.
The Knights extended the longest winning streak in 5A Region 4 this week by beating the Miners, 21-17. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
American Fork's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jacen Condie threw for 153 and one touchdown and Chris Boone had 82 yards receiving. On the ground Lopini Katoa chipped in 122 yards. Hayden Johnson helped American Fork's passing attack out by catching one ball for 31 yards.
Brad Hill made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Cavemen defeated Lehi. The 5-foot-9 senior pulled down one interception.
Pleasant Grove's MICHAEL ANDERSON and SKYLER MUNSON have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. ANDERSON has thrown for 1287 yards this season, while MUNSON, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 24 catches for 631 yards. The Pioneers' Ryan Absher leads the league in rushing yards with 501.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Tony McGeary's team and the Vikings. The Knights comes into the matchup ranked 10th in the state, while Pleasant Grove ranks 24th.
Lone Peak made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 534 from 1,009. The improvement was the result of 21-17 victory over Bingham last week.
