The Goliad Tigers will be playing at home against the London Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Goliad will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Friday, Goliad strolled past Edna with points to spare, taking the game 21-6.
Lamont Franklin and Eli Luco were among the main playmakers for Goliad as the former rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown and the latter rushed for 47 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 21-21 at halftime, London was not quite Industrial's equal in the second half on Friday. London had to suffer through a rough 56-28 loss at the hands of Industrial. London was down 42-21 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Goliad's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for London, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Goliad against London in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 34-0 victory. Does Goliad have another victory up their sleeve, or will London turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
