The Burbank Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 83-49 loss at the hands of Alamo Heights. Burbank has not had much luck with Alamo Heights recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Alamo Heights was led to victory by Hayes Waddy and William Whittingstall. Waddy dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Whittingstall scored 17 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Whittingstall scored 15 or more points. JJ McCloskey was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Burbank's defeat was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 5-12. As for Alamo Heights, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 17-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Highlands the next time they take the court. Burbank will host Highlands at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, while Alamo Heights will host them at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
