Even though the Leonard Lancers scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, the Trinity Christian Academy Warriors still came out on top. Trinity Christian Academy walked away with a 68-55 win over Leonard. The win made it back-to-back wins for Trinity Christian Academy.
Xander Eason was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. Another player making a difference was Eduardo Rodriguez, who scored 13 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Defeat or not, Leonard got some senior leadership from Reggie Presendieu and Emmanuel Augustin. Presendieu scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and two steals, while Augustin. scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Augustin is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiesun Moore, who scored eight points.
Trinity Christian Academy's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for Leonard, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
Trinity Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Atlantic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Atlantic has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 445 points over their last six contests. As for Leonard, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Boca Raton at 7:30 p.m.
