The Atoka Wampus Cats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Holdenville by a score of 84-71. The win was familiar territory for Atoka who now have six in a row.
Several Wolverines players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Izaia King, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Seeley, who scored 14 points.
Atoka pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Holdenville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.
Atoka will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Broken Bow at 8:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. After both having extra time off, Holdenville and Seminole will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 2:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Seminole will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 339th, while Holdenville is ranked 158th).
