The Marmaton Valley Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Jayhawk Linn Jayhawks at 12:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Kansas (Marmaton Valley is ranked 325th, while Jayhawk Linn is ranked 346th).
Last Friday, Marmaton Valley ended up a good deal behind Altoona-Midway and lost 58-44.
Meanwhile, Jayhawk Linn took a serious blow against Erie on Tuesday, falling 72-29. Jayhawk Linn was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-11.
Jayhawk Linn's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Brody Clark, who scored seven points, and Ryan Broyles who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Marmaton Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Jayhawk Linn, they dropped their record down to 5-12 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Marmaton Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Jayhawk Linn in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 59-55 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marmaton Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
