In what's become a running theme this season, the Southern Bulldogs gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Arundel 66-17 at home. Winning may never get old, but Southern sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Ava Wooster continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and four steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Huntyr Marks, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Southern's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Arundel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-14.
Southern will stay at home for another game and welcome Broadneck at 5:00 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Southern focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Wednesday. As for Arundel, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against North County on February 8th. Arundel is facing North County at the right time seeing as North County is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
