Basketball Recap: Keene Skates Past Palmer with Ease

Keene waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 69-42 victory over the Palmer Bulldogs. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 22 points or more this season.

Palmer lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Reagan Davis, who posted 19 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. That's the most points Davis has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Kenli Dobie, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards.

Keene is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.9 points per game. As for Palmer, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.

Keene will challenge Bells at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Bells has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games. As for Palmer, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grandview at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Grandview will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Palmer surely won't give up without a fight.
