The Bruce Trojans lost against the South Pontotoc Cougars back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Tuesday. Bruce was outmatched by South Pontotoc at home  and fell  71-39. Bruce has struggled against South Pontotoc recently, as their  game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
 Bruce's loss  came despite strong showings from  Jay Cole Williams and  Kobe Hooper.  Williams  scored nine points along with four  steals, while  Hooper  scored 15 points. Those four  steals set a new season-high mark for  Williams.
 Bruce  struggled to get the ball back on offense and  finished the game with only two  offensive rebounds. That's the fewest  offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
 Bruce has  traveled a rocky road recently, as they've  lost five of their last six matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for South Pontotoc, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.
 Bruce will head out on the road to face off against Eupora at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. South Pontotoc will be home for the holidays to greet  North Pontotoc at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
